Install, activate, support.

The dealer app, the activation of a driver, and how licences work. Driver packages and each driver's guide are in the dealer portal, under Catalogue.

Dealer app

Your laptop, connected to the controller.

A small Windows program. It shows the dealer portal in its own window and adds controller access. You do not need it: every portal page also works in a normal browser.

  • Connects to one controller on the site's network. You type its address, user and password in the app's own window, and Clume never sees the password
  • Reads the controller's model, serial, MAC, firmware and installed drivers
  • Copies a driver package into the controller's import folder for Setup to pick up
  • Installs a licence on the connected controller, and reads the driver's log to show its licence state
  • Sends a diagnostic snapshot only when you press Send, and shows you its content first
  • Never restarts the controller and never runs a command you type

Needs Windows 10 or Windows 11 with the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime. Windows 11 includes it.

Activate a driver

From the driver's link to the licence key.

A driver that needs a licence shows an activation link in Setup. The licence is bound to that controller, and the house needs no internet connection.

  1. Install the driverImport and pair it in the Crestron Home Setup app. Its Buy or transfer a licence field shows a link: clumeone.com/a/ and a 16-character code.
  2. Open the linkOr type the code at clumeone.com/a. Hyphens and spaces do not matter, and I, L and O are read as 1, 1 and 0. A mistyped code is caught before anything happens.
  3. Check what the page showsThe driver, and the controller's MAC ending, for example "MAC ending 4F:2A". Nothing else about the site.
  4. Sign inThe page brings you back to the code afterwards. No dealer account? Ask your Clume contact, or request one.
  5. Request the licencePick the project (create one under Projects first if you have none), type the controller's serial if you have it, and press Request the licence.
  6. Get the keyDepending on your account, the licence is issued at once or waits for Clume to approve it. An approved licence appears under Licences.
  7. Install the keyPress Copy and paste the key into the driver's License Key field in Setup. With the dealer app connected, Install on the connected controller does it for you.

Before the visit

Use Activate in the portal with the code, or with the controller's MAC and the driver, and arrive with the key.

No internet on site

Send the code to your Clume contact. Clume sends the key back, and you paste it into the driver.

Licences

One licence per controller per product.

Bound to the controller

A licence belongs to one controller and one product. The driver checks it offline, so the house needs no internet connection.

Copy a key again

Licences in the portal lists every licence your company holds. Copy any key again at any time; it does not issue a new licence.

Transfers

When a controller is replaced, start a transfer from Licences. The first transfer of a licence goes through at once; a later one waits for Clume to approve it.
