Clume touch panel
A wall-mounted ESP32-P4 touch panel that works as an extension panel for Crestron Home, and the panel driver that gives each panel an identity Crestron Home can name, put in a room and automate. The driver works only with this panel. The product name is not final.
What it does
- An extension panel for a Crestron Home CP4-R, talking to the controller over CRPC on TLS port 50001.
- Verified on the panel: lights, scenes, rooms, media, cameras (read), custom devices and fans.
- Real-time updates from the controller, measured at 13-65 ms.
- The integrator chooses what each panel shows on a configuration web page, on a tile grid.
- Door intercom as SIP audio.
- The panel driver gives each panel an identity in Crestron Home: it claims a panel on first contact and issues it a token.
- The driver's settings page, protected by a PIN and opened from Setup for one hour: a lock PIN per panel, the panel layout editor, the doorbell mute per panel, and which panels ring for a door.
- Every write from the settings page is logged.
Devices and protocols
- Clume 7 (7-inch, Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6) and Clume 4 (720 x 720) panel boards
- Crestron Home 4.11 on a CP4-R
- CRPC over TLS port 50001; the panel driver on port 9531
- Sonos, controlled through Crestron
- SIP audio to door stations; an Akuvox door in the lab
Requirements
- A Crestron Home system on a CP4-R controller.
- Professional install by a Crestron Home integrator. Wall mounting only.
- The Clume panel driver on the controller, for per-site settings.
- Ethernet or Wi-Fi to the controller; the panel reaches the driver on port 9531.
- The Crestron Home Administrator password, for the panel layout editor.
Limits to know before you install
- Not yet piloted in a home, and there is no setup wizard yet.
- The production hardware is not decided.
- Door video is not supported: door intercom is audio only.
- Climate and shades are not yet on the list of verified functions.
- A page change takes about 290 ms.
- Showing only a panel's own room is a convenience, not a security boundary.
- Crestron Home scenes and automations cannot mute or wake a panel yet.
- The layout editor keeps the Administrator password in memory for the page session.
- Zigbee and Matter on the panel are lab work, not product features yet.
