Ajax security hubs
A Crestron Home security-system driver for Ajax alarm hubs. The hub reports to the driver over SIA DC-09 on the local network, with no Ajax cloud and no Ajax account at run time. Arm, night and disarm commands pulse LAN relays wired to Ajax KeyArm inputs.
What it does
- Acts as a local SIA DC-09 receiver over TCP for the hub, clear or AES-128 encrypted, on port 9550 by default.
- Creates Crestron Home areas from Ajax groups and zones from Ajax device numbers 1 to 200.
- Shows each area Armed Away, Armed Stay (Ajax Night mode) or Disarmed, taken only from the hub's events. It never guesses.
- Arm Away, Arm Stay and Disarm from Crestron Home, each a relay pulse to an Ajax KeyArm input, confirmed when the matching event arrives.
- Zone states: Ok, Faulted, Tamper, Low Battery, Missing and Bypassed. Area alarms: Burglary, Fire, Medical and Alarm.
- Hub troubles as system errors: low battery, missing battery, no AC power, loss of communication.
- Monitor-only operation when no relay outputs are set up.
- Can run alongside a monitoring company on the Ajax cloud.
Devices and protocols
- Ajax hubs on OS Malevich 2.7 or later
- SIA DC-09 over TCP, clear or AES-128. No UDP
- Ajax KeyArm inputs on a Transmitter or MultiTransmitter (OS Malevich 2.17 or later; not on the original Hub 2G/4G Jeweller)
- Global Cache iTach IP2CC, GC-100 and Flex relays; Shelly Gen1 and Gen2+ relays
Requirements
- A Crestron Home processor.
- An Ajax hub on the same LAN, with its monitoring station (SIA DC-09) connection set to the processor.
- To arm and disarm from Crestron Home: an Ajax Transmitter or MultiTransmitter with KeyArm inputs, and a Global Cache or Shelly LAN relay wired to them. The driver cannot use the processor's own relays.
- Hub firmware OS Malevich 2.7 or later for SIA, 2.17 or later for KeyArm.
- In Setup: the SIA account number, encryption key, groups, zones, outputs, disarm code and options.
Limits to know before you install
- Not yet tested on a real Ajax hub or a Crestron processor.
- A disarmed detector sends nothing when opened, so Crestron Home cannot show "door open" while disarmed. Chime events are not sent.
- The hub sends no state when it connects: the arm state is learned from the next arm or disarm event.
- Battery level, temperature and signal strength are not reported.
- Not in this version: bypass commands, alarm restore, siren mute, event log, Ajax cloud mode.
- Without the KeyArm hardware and a LAN relay, the driver is monitor-only.
- The encryption key and the disarm code show in clear in Crestron Home Setup.
- The hub's direct monitoring-station slot serves one receiver.
